The School of Translation Studies is approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education to offer both bachelor and master degrees in Translation Studies. The school has been ratified as the Pilot Zone for Professional Translator Education at both national and provincial level, is a National Digital Media Translation Practice Education Base, and is a member of the International Federation of Translators (FIT).

　　With experienced and highly professional teaching staff, the STS provides students with programs focusing on all-round improvement of language proficiency and professional translation and interpreting skills needed in future work and research. Moreover, the STS cooperates with the Translation Center of Huawei Technologies, RWS Beijing (a subsidiary of RWS Group), Transn Technology, and other companies to jointly offer industry-focused courses such as communication technology translation, patent translation, contract translation, and management of translation projects, which comprehensively develop students’ professional competence.
